King Abdullah Economic City, grown to be the tourist destination it is with its leisure element, taking the coast of the red sea as it location. One of the most well-known golf clubs in the Middle East, Royal Greens Golf & Country Club, hosts international competitions, and a motorsports park is currently being constructed as part of the recently constructed Lagoona recreational complex. Another leisure element is the expansive waterfront, from the bike-friendly Beach Walk to the soft-sand Yam Beach, which provides a variety of water sports.
